Rowan Tree Consulting has been appointed by the Moray Firth Partnership to co-ordinate two exciting new projects:

  • Beach Guardians - a three-year project aimed at helping local communities along the Firth find new solutions to the problems of beach litter, and
  • Hands across the Firth - preparation of an Audience Development Plan for a planned Heritage Lottery Fund bid aimed at making the coastal heritage of the Moray Firth more accessible to local people and visitors.
  • We are also pleased to announce that we are co-ordinating an exciting new three-year training programme for staff and volunteers in museums and local heritage societies in the Highlands and Islands. Work to develop the programme startedin January 2005 with the first courses due to be available in September 2005- watch this space for further details!

Last, but by no means least, we have been appointed to co-ordinate Highland Archaeology Week for the third year running on behalf of the Highland Council's Archaeology Unit - and we are delighted to announce that the event is now so popular that it will be running for a fortnight rather than a week. Last year's event, with a programme of 135 events, was the largest HAW ever.
